Kingstowne is located in Fairfax County, Virginia and is a suburb of Washington D.C. Kingstowne is part of the town of Franconia, although the community does have its own zip code. It is conveniently situated between many key commercial and employment centers throughout Northern Virginia and offers easy access to I-395 and I-495.
Kingstowne is located roughly 3 miles east of the Springfield Town Center and 8 miles west of Downtown Alexandria. The community is also located roughly 15 miles southwest of Washington D.C., with road commutes of 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic.
For military professionals, Kingstowne is located 9 miles north of Ft. Belvoir and 25 miles north of Quantico. Both bases are within an hour’s drive, although commute times can fluctuate dramatically depending on traffic. The Coast Guard Navigation Center is just outside of Kingstowne, making it a very convenient location for anyone stationed at this base.
Additionally, Kingstowne is located in close proximity to the Franconia-Springfield Metro station and VRE commuter rail station. The station is accessible by bus from Kingstowne. The Metro and VRE lines both offer service to destinations like Washington D.C. and Alexandria. The VRE also provides service to destinations south of Kingstowne like Quantico and Fredericksburg.
