Location

Lake Ridge is located in Prince William County, Virginia. The community is situated directly south of the Occoquan Reservoir and is just a few miles west of Occoquan Bay and the Potomac River. It is in a very convenient location for military families stationed in the area, as it is a 30 minute drive of both Ft. Belvoir and Quantico.

Lake Ridge is also located just west of I-95, which makes it easy to commute into Washington D.C. Washington D.C. is approximately 45 minutes to an hour away by car, depending on traffic levels. Lake Ridge is also three miles away from a VRE commuter rail station with a park-and-ride lot, giving residents alternate commute options.

Housing

Lake Ridge is a large, planned community and a census-designated place of over 45,000 residents. Construction initially started in the 1960s, and there are many homes dating back to that era, as well as many newer homes.

You’ll find a mix of different housing options to choose from in this community. Most of Lake Ridge is made up of single-family homes, but there are some areas with condos, townhomes, and apartment complexes available as well.

Lake Ridge is also just steps away from the Occoquan Historic District, which is a charming waterfront commercial district known for its delicious restaurants and local boutiques. Additionally, Lake Ridge is a 15-minute drive from Potomac Mills, one of the largest malls in Northern Virginia.
