Laurel Hill
Laurel Hill is a master-planned community located in the center of Lorton. It features a mix of single-family homes and townhomes to choose from. This community offers an excellent location right off I-95 and very close to the Lorton VRE commuter rail station. It is just a 15-minute drive from Ft. Belvoir.
What makes Laurel Hill stand out from many other communities in Lorton is its amenities. The community has a golf course, tennis courts, fitness center, and a pool, and there is also a renowned arts center located nearby. Additionally, the neighborhood is very family-friendly, with multiple schools in the area and playgrounds conveniently located throughout as well.
Mason Neck
Mason Neck is a luxury community located directly on the Potomac River. It has a rural feel, with very spacious properties located on the waterfront. The community consists of large single-family homes, many of which have a traditional Colonial architecture style.
If you’re looking for a more secluded neighborhood that offers plenty of peace and quiet, Mason Neck might be the right fit for you. This neighborhood offers easy access to state and regional parks nearby as well as boat launches along the water. However, it is relatively far from the highway, and comes with a longer 20-minute commute to Ft. Belvoir.
Lorton Station Town Center
This community is located in Lorton’s downtown area, which is directly south of I-95. It is a very dense community with a mix of condos, townhomes, and detached single-family homes. Many of these properties are relatively new, having been constructed in the last 20 years.
If you’re looking for convenience, this community fits the bill. It is located right next to the highway and the train station and offers a very short 12-minute commute to base. There are restaurants and shops located directly in the neighborhood, as well as a park, playground, and basketball court.
Crosspointe
Crosspointe is a cozy community of single-family homes located on the north end of Lorton. Properties are spacious with large yards, and range in terms of size and style. Crosspointe is very close to many of Lorton’s excellent schools.
The Crosspointe community also offers excellent outdoor amenities. There are community pools and tennis courts in the neighborhood as well as access to many walking trails and parks. However, this neighborhood has a slightly longer commute to Ft. Belvoir, as it will take close to 20 minutes. It’s also further from the highway and train station than many other parts of Lorton.
Harbor View
Harbor View is a new community located on the south end of Lorton. It features beautiful single-family homes in a convenient location right off the interstate. This community is situated directly on the Occoquan River, and it also isn’t far from the Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge. These homes are roomy and built on spacious lots with yards. This community also offers a convenient 15-minute commute to base.
