Marumsco

Marumsco is a charming neighborhood located right near the Belmont Bay. Homes here can vary widely in size. Close to the water, you’ll find larger homes with stunning views, but properties get more modest as you move inland, with lots of one-story homes with large lots.

This area is great for nature lovers who want to spend lots of time by the water. With multiple parks and even a national wildlife refuge nearby, residents have plenty of options if they want to go hiking, biking, boating, or bird watching.

Marumsco is also a great area for anyone who wants to commute into Washington D.C., as you are very close to the highway and to a commuter rail stop. It’s also very easy to commute to Quantico and other parts of Virginia because of its proximity to the highway.

Belmont Bay

This is another excellent neighborhood for anyone who wants to live on the water in Woodbridge. This neighborhood looks out over its namesake body of water, and many properties offer beautiful waterfront views. It is tucked away from the rest of Woodbridge, so it feels very peaceful and private.

Many properties here are luxury townhomes rather than detached single-family homes. Many of these townhomes are brand new and come with high-end appliances and other popular amenities. This area is still in development, and in the future residents will have access to a large waterfront park as well as a walkable commercial area with restaurants and shopping.

Agnewville

Moving inland, another excellent neighborhood we love is Agnewville. Agnewville feels very secluded - many properties have large yards with beautiful foliage. If you’re looking for a larger home, Agnewville could be right for you, as many properties have three or more bedrooms.

Despite its beautiful scenery, Agnewville is just a short drive away from the center of Woodbridge. This means you’ll have easy access to grocery stores and other handy local amenities. Agnewville is also a short drive from the Occoquan Historic District, which is a beautiful riverfront town with shopping, dining, and entertainment in preserved historic buildings.

Potomac Town Center

If you’re looking for a lively, more urban feel in the Woodbridge area, then the Potomac Town Center might be the right neighborhood for you. The Potomac Town Center is located near the Potomac Mills Mall, which is one of the largest malls in northern Virginia and is known for its designer outlets.

This is a great option for anyone who wants to have plenty of things to do right at their doorstep. In addition to the mall, there are movie theaters, restaurants, and even amusement centers right in this neighborhood. Essentials like grocery stores, gyms, banks, doctors, and even a library are all readily available as well.

For housing in this area, you will find mostly luxury townhomes and apartments as opposed to single-family homes. Most of the housing options in this area offer a three-bed, three-bath multi-story layout with a garage.

Minnieville

The Minnieville neighborhood has a suburban feel and a wide range of housing options to choose from. There’s a mix of new construction and older homes here, and you’ll find everything from small townhomes to much larger multi-story standalone options.

This area is a bit further away from the center of town than some of the other places we’ve discussed, so your commute might be slightly longer. However, this area is full of beautiful foliage and most homes have very large lots, so it’s great for those who want more space.

Woodbridge is an excellent option for anyone who wants a balance between peaceful suburban life and the vibrant nature of a bigger city. With close proximity to Washington D.C., a huge shopping and dining hub, and access to the waterfront, Woodbridge has so much to offer.
